Tanya McClain has been employed by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since 1997. Tanya is very knowledgeable when it comes to the responsibilities that involve being a Records Specialist.

Tanya has additional responsibilities other than the daily work of a Records Specialist. She is currently training other Records Specialists on how to perform the monthly NCIC File Entry Validations and court ordered expungements. Because of her knowledge and ability to relate to others, Tanya is an excellent trainer. She demonstrates patience and is considerate when assisting other Records Specialists.

Over a year ago, Tanya was assigned a complicated quarterly quality assurance task, also known as “further investigation report." This task involves compiling data from 2004 to present day in RMS, reviewing every incident report that is currently under investigation, and sending memorandums requesting a follow-up supplement. Tanya efficiently maintains all information in an Excel spreadsheet once she reviews each submitted supplement in RMS.

Tanya goes above and beyond to make sure that daily tasks are completed and even takes on a leadership role in the absence of the Records Manager. The other Records Specialists know they can count on her to assist them with work related issues. Tanya’s attributes paired with her knowledge as a Records Specialist proves her to be an asset to this agency.
