Inv. A. Faircloth is selected as Enforcement Staff of the Month for his actions while investigating a string of larcenies involving the vandalism and theft of communication wire infrastructure. These cases involved a multitude of offenders who had been climbing telephone poles and cutting massive amounts of telecommunications wire to scrap. The actions of these offenders ranged from interrupting internet communications to denying citizens the ability to call 911. Inv. Faircloth's investigation quickly involved other law enforcement agencies that were having the same type of crimes in their jurisdictions, which caused the scope of his investigation to quickly broaden. Inv. Faircloth received calls from victims and other detectives at all times of the day and night, including while he was on vacation. Inv. Faircloth answered every call regardless of when he received it. When Inv. Faircloth was able to identify his offenders, he was able to pin those same offenders to the crimes being investigated by the other agencies. Inv. Faircloth chased down leads and worked well over his scheduled work hours, which at one point came at a great personal loss of missing hearing the heartbeat of his newest child for the first time. Inv. Faircloth has made over 10 arrests with over 48 charges, which in turn allowed other law enforcement agencies to charge and close their cases as well. Due to the above-stated facts, Inv. Faircloth is selected as the January Enforcement Staff Member of the Month due to his work ethic, drive, personal sacrifice, and dedication to the citizens of Forsyth County.
