Finding something fun to do this summer has never been so easy. You can find books, movies, and programs at every Forsyth County Public Library branch, in fact, check out these programs coming to a library near you:
Carver School Road is hosting the WFU’s Museum of Anthropology with a special program, “Monkey’s Favorite Game”, Thursday, July 5 at 2pm. Learn about the ancient game of badminton and create your own Chinese shuttlecock. Program for kids ages 6-12. The next day you can rock out to Big Bang Boom at our Walkertown Branch, the fun starts at 2.
Teens, ever wanted to try your hand at song writing?Wednesday, July 6 at 2pm (Walkertown Branch) and Thursday, July 7 starting at 3:30pm (Lewisville Branch) we are hosting a Songwriting for Teens workshop with Big Bang Boom. For grades 6-12.
Don’t forget our Summer Reading prizes: every reader that completes a summer reading log (that’s 480 minutes for kids and teens, 3 books for adults) will be entered into drawings for Barnes & Noble gift cards worth $25 and $100.
Check out our Summer Reading page to link to calendars, booklists, information, and to sign up for your summer reading log. It’s easier to do than ever before and we are here to assist you with all your questions.
