Be sure to come by the second floor of the Central Library to see two art exhibits: landscape paintings by Sandra Cieszewski and photographs by Will Willner.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Sandra Cieszewski came to Winston-Salem in 1992, and has been a part of the art community through Associated Artists of Winston-Salem and the Muddy River Art Association. Cieszewski has bachelor of arts degrees in chemistry, art history and fine arts. She is driven by her need to create, and she gets inspiration from many sources. She exhibits extensively throughout the area. This exhibit is a mix of watercolor and gouache combined with etching, and the images are various landscapes.
Will Willner has degrees in neurophysiology, biomedical engineering, and biomedical photography. In 2018 Willner received a grant from the Arts Council of Winston-Salem to photograph the parks of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. For these black and white photographs, he used a special infrared digital camera. The images will help you look at our parklands in a new way. The two exhibits will be on display until Dec. 31.
