National Law Enforcement Week

In 1962, President Kennedy and Congress proclaimed the calendar week inclusive of May 15th as National Law Enforcement Week. This week pays special recognition to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

National Law Enforcement Week will be observed May 8-14, 2016. In observance, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office flags shall be lowered to half staff. Additionally, all uniformed personnel will wear mourning bands over their badges to honor and remember officers who have died in the line of duty. You can visit the FCSO Officer Memorial page at: www.co.forsyth.nc.us/sheriff/officer_memorials.

The Forsyth County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation invites you to be our guest at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Memorial Service. The Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 at 11:00am at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown.
