Residents are invited to attend the 2025 Community Appearance Awards Program, which will be held at the Old Salem Visitor Center, 900 Old Salem Road, on Wednesday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m.
Dr. Traci Rider, Associate Professor of Architecture at North Carolina State University, will give a presentation about the importance of sustainable design at the Awards Program.
The Community Appearance Commission of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County sponsors the biennial awards program to honor the efforts of businesses, individuals and community groups who have made a positive impact on the appearance of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Projects and organizations that previously received awards at the 2023 Awards Program include Bailey South in Innovation Quarter, the Green Street Pedestrian Bridge, the Mary Alice Warren Community Center in Lewisville, the Walkertown Area Historical Society and the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership.
